2019
Last T2K paper of the year 2019 published !
Just in time for celebrating, we are proud to be part of the last T2K publication of the 2019 year entitled "Measurement of neutrino and antineutrino neutral-current quasi-elastic-like interactions on oxygen by detecting nuclear deexcitation gamma rays"
Dr. Balint Radics was awarded the SNF Spark grant for his research proposal on computational tomography of Earth using geoneutrinos.
The aim of the project is to explore the possibility of looking into the interior of Earth using neutrino particles. They originate from the decay of natural radioactive elements and can penetrate our planet from their source to the Earth's surface almost completely undisturbed, potentially carrying information about the internal structure and composition of our globe.
Updated result from electron antineutrino appearance in T2K
We submitted on the arxiv the updated results from the long-baseline oscillation studies of electron antineutrino appearance.
Dr. Laura Molina Bueno was awarded a SNF Ambizione grant
Thanks to this project, the search for the Dark Sector with the CERN NA64 experiment will be improved thanks to a new trigger and data acquisition system.
High Power UV-laser for the Mu-MASS experiment
We report our first generation of high power CW UV-laser light. Successful locking of the second harmonic generation (SHG) cavity enables UV powers of up to 0.5 W.
